Day 7: Colorful Crochet Coasters
Canon EOS R5 | Canon RF100mm F2.8 L MACRO IS USM
1/125 sec | f/2.8 | 1600 ISO
Why did I take this photo?
My son's girlfriend, Emily, gifted me this amazing set of handmade coasters at Christmas. I love them, and have wanted to photograph them ever since!
How was this photo taken?
Handheld indoors with mixed lighting and harsh shadows.
Did I learn anything? Would I do anything different next time?
I do not feel I did these lovely crochet coasters justice with this photograph. I struggled to set the scene, and the lighting was pretty rough. I don't think this was a good use of the macro lens, and I'd like to try again to photograph the coasters again using a different lens.
This is day 7 of 100 of The 100 Day Project, in which I commit to take and post a new photo from with my camera (not cellphone) every day. Follow my creative journey on via blog or Instagram.
