Creating A Special Wedding Gift For A Blended Family

A new client, Claire, recently contacted us about creating a custom family tree as a wedding gift for her son and future daughter-in-law’s summer nuptials. She shared a bit of their inspiring story with us: Ethan and Amelia are both widowed with two children each. After years of grief and healing, they have found love after loss. They are ready to embark on this new chapter of their lives and eager to create a loving and harmonious home for their blended family. Their beautiful love story is a testament to the power of second chances and the limitless nature of love!

Claire envisioned a family tree that would proudly showcase the names of the happy couple and their children, surrounded by the names of all the cherished family and friends who will be present on their wedding day. She provided us with around 200 first names, and we repeated each name once to help fill out the tree shape. Additionally, she asked us to include a banner on the tree trunk with the wedding date, and to include this blessing at the base of the tree:

"May your marriage be a reflection of the love that surrounds you.” 

When Claire caught a glimpse of the proofs, she was absolutely ecstatic about the design. However, she noticed a tiny hiccup—she had misspelled a name when she provided the list to us. But no worries! We swiftly sent her a corrected revision, ensuring that everything was just right. Once she gave her stamp of approval, we wasted no time starting production. The artwork was printed and shipped within a lightning-fast 24 hours, giving Claire plenty of time to find the perfect frame.
