Day 9: Feeling Ferny
Canon EOS R5 | Canon RF28-70mm F2.0 L USM
1/80 sec | f/2.0 | 400 ISO
Why did I take this photo?
I love PNW and the beautiful ferns we have! Last summer, Denis and I went fern crazy. We planted a number of ferns and also had some gorgeous hanging baskets of Boston ferns. This particular fern was planted in the ground near our fountain, and is still thriving through the winter. I'm not sure what kind it is-- perhaps a fancy fern? I hope to add more ferns this year!
How was this photo taken?
Handheld, natural light, AI sharpening tool.
Did I learn anything? Would I do anything different next time?
This was a quick snapshot in cold temperatures as a storm rolled in. The photos were soft, and this was the least blurry of the bunch, which I improved it by using an AI sharpening tool. I'm not sure if my focus was off, shutter speed too slow, if I moved too much, or if the lack of image stabilization within the lens was the culprit. It was a busy day, so I didn't have much time to worry about it.
This is day 9 of 100 of The 100 Day Project, in which I commit to take and post a new photo from with my camera (not cellphone) every day. Follow my creative journey on via blog or Instagram.
